Frequently asked questions

What should I expect when I visit CityHope?

You will be greeted by our friendly hospitality team, welcomed by encouraging and uplifting worship music led by our dedicated worship team, and encouraged by the preaching of our co-pastoring team - Justin and Hannah Bowersox. Our people are friendly and there will be opportunities for you to connect further if you wish! Parking is simple and open and there is a park right down the road if you have kids that want to get wiggles out before or after service! Your kids are welcomed in both the main worship service and in the nursery (0-3) and kid's ministry (4 years old to grade 5).

Am I welcome?

Every human being is welcome in our church. We do not discriminate based on gender, race, background, or culture. All are welcome in the kingdom of God, and like Jesus, we embrace you with open arms.

How can I get connected further?

On our website there is a tab that says, "Connect" and a tab that says, "Next Steps." Both tabs give you an opportunity to see what the church offers and the opportunity to physically contact with us via email. We would love to hear from you, talk with you further, and connect you to community as soon as you feel ready for it!

What does the Wesleyan Church believe?

The Wesleyan church has a rich history of standing up for the misunderstood and vulnerable, accepting all people as equal in the kingdom of God. They were one of the very first churches involved in both abolition and women's rights movements. Wesleyan's believe that God gives us free will and that we are meant to pursue holiness as best as we can in our lives. We affirm God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the Holy Trinity. We believe in the Bible- that it is the inspired Word of God, living and active, relevant even today. If you want to know more about what the Wesleyan denomination believes head to https://www.wesleyan.org/about/articles-of-religion to learn more!

Do you offer child care?

We offer nursery starting at 10:30 am for ages birth-3 and our CityHope Kids program for grades k-5. All volunteers have completed an up to date police check.
